Work shoes (hospital)
For the ladies who stand for up to 8 hours a day what shoes do you wear? I bought shape ups but they are horrible & I've just bought a new pair of dansko. I'm hesitant to wear them as they are $150 & I've heard mixed things about them. I have fallen arches and planter fasciitis in both feet. I used to wear the old style shape ups & they where great but I haven't been able to find them.

I work for a podiatrist and he swears by New Balance. I'm not sure where you live, but there's an NB store in Carle Place that will fit you with the best sneakers for your feet. Being that you are one your feet so much, I would definitely recommend getting fitted.

When I worked full time at the hospital i wore the dansko. I loved them and they lasted awhile.

I have been working full time as a nurse for the past 25 years..I have always worn clogs..they have always been kind to my legs...for the past I guess 10 years now I have worn Danskos...They are pricey but I had one pair for 5 years before I had to get new ones..they do have a breaking in period where you feel like you cannot wear them one more minute but after you break them in they are the most comfortable shoe to work in...:)

I have worked 24 hours shifts and always wear Dansko's the one's with open backs. There was a small break in period but I have had the same ones for the last 10 years.
