Working 2 jobs
Ok so i am realizing that i might have to work another job just to make some extra money for the baby. Thing is is that i really dont want to. Anyone else go to school, work full time, then work part time just to make some extra cash. DH and I make good money together but b/c we own like 3 homes (2 of which are investments) it seems that its going to be so tight and I just want to make sure that I have enough money for the baby.

Re: Working 2 jobs
how far along are you? Your energy levels are not going to be what they usually are when your pregnant. It seems like you already have a lot on your plate.

Re: Working 2 jobs
I would wait if I were you! wait until 2nd trimester, i am working 2 jobs right now and it is ok but hard at times, since it is a long day.. Take care of yourself first, then see what you have to do......

Re: Working 2 jobs
I am in my first trimester.
I work full time and go to school part time.
I CANNOT conceive at this time taking on another job.
I am completely exhausted. I could sleep on my desk at any time (thankfully there are no pillows at proximity!!!).

Re: Working 2 jobs
Honestly, if you are early and not having MS or any symptoms that prevent you from the second job...now is the time bc if you wait until the end...you will never want to take on another job. The energy level takes a dive in the 3rd trimester. My advice if you want a second job...go on craigslist.com. They have plenty of babysitting type jobs for 10/hr. Maybe you can do this so it wont be so stressful of a job ESPECIALLY with christmas season around the corner.

Re: Working 2 jobs
I'm 18 weeks - work 6 days a week - 1 full time job, and 2 part time jobs. IO work evenings and Saturdays.
Am I exhausted? YES! But, I wont be able to work like this after the baby is born, so this is my opportunity to make some money...
We, however, own no homes. We rent....

Re: Working 2 jobs
I am already trying to find a job on LI becuase the commute alone from one job is kicking my a$$. Once I settle in on a LI job, I will seek something PT for just a little extra cash for the big things...like the $600 Dutailier glider I fell in love with
If I were going to school as well, I am not sure I'd personally have the stamina.

Re: Working 2 jobs
I work three part time jobs (it is a weird situation) and am in grad school part time. Because of the nature of one of my pt jobs, I work weird hours so I am really feeling exhausted and inconsistent. Some days I am home by 1PM and other days I am home by 10PM. I can't wait for a more regular schedule.
