Working in home district?
Just curious if this makes a difference or not. I am applying to some positions I saw on OLAS. One is in the district that I live in (it is a high school district). Do Long Island districts like hiring residents of the districts? Wasn't sure if this was something done often. I know where I grew up it was very common.

Working in home district?
Some do. A lot of people I worked with were either residents or graduates of the district, including the principal of my building.

I work with a lot of people that live in district or graduated from the district. I personally would not want to live and work in the same district but that's just me.
