Working Moms-Playdates

I am a full-time working mom and I have a 4 year old DD. I feel terrible that I could never do playdates with her. When I am at work she is at my MIL's house. Anyone go through this? I just feel so bad that I cant do anything with her during the week. My weekends are always packed and I feel like weekends arent really a good time for anyone for playdates.

Anyone else go through this?

I am going back to work full time in 3 weeks. Chat Icon This is what I am afraid of too. DS is only 3 months old, but I feel bad that I will probably never be able to go to GTG's, not until next summer (I am a teacher). We did sign up for Music Together for Saturday mornings starting next month, but I still feel like it's not enough.

I am in the same boat. Though I don't do play dates EVERY week I do make it a point of doing them at least once a month. She also has the little boy next door that we will play with for an hour or so when he gets home. My dd is in daycare so she does get a lot of socialization during the week there but I still do try to get her together with her non-daycare friends as often as I can.

Can your MIL take her on playdates?? Or to the library, if your library has a play area.

DD is only 9 months old, but considering she plays all day ay daycare with other kids, I don't feel so bad about not doing play dates on the weekend,

Re: Working Moms-Playdates

i wish there were more weekend things to do.

When I was home it was easier to go to Gtgs but now its hard.

I signed DD up for a soccer mommy and me playground thing so once a week she is out with other kids.

I tried to sign up for Meetup.com but got rejected because they arent accepting new members.Chat Icon
