Working moms...help!
For those of you that drop dc off in the morning...please share your schedule. How do you get out of the house in time?
Dh usually drops her off but now I have to for awhile...how do you get it together?

Re: Working moms...help!
now its chaos. BUt when he was little and I was good at it.... I would have clothes laid out and ironed before. I wouold have his food all fixed and labeled and ready in the fridge the night before. I would try and get up to shower before he woke up and then basically would just feed us and dress us.

Re: Working moms...help!
I wake up at 6:45, and get in the shower. DH gets up at the same time and prepares Alex's lunch, and when she wakes up, usually at 7am, he goes in to get her. Gives her some milk, changes her diaper, puts on her clothes. He gives her breakfast while I finish getting ready and warm up the car. When she's done with breakfast, usually around 7:30am, I take her with me and drive her to school. I drop her off, fly to the train, and am usually in work between 8 and 8:30am. My train only takes about 15 mins though, which is convenient for me...
If there's ever a day DH can't be there in the morning to help, I'll make sure I wake up before Alex, at around 6:30am, so I'm ready to go once she wakes up so all I have to do is get her dressed, feed her and take her to school. If all else fails and I wake up late, I'll change her diaper, give her a bottle of milk, and sit her in her rocking chair in front of one of her favorite videos while I get ready.

Re: Working moms...help!
Same here. Everything is packed and laid out the night before.
I have to get two out in the morning so preparation is key.
Sometimes I even pack the car with their stuff the night before - my work bags, their bags, etc.
I get up at 5:15 - 5:30, shower, get dressed, wake up my oldest, get her ready and then wake up the baby.
Its tough but somehow I manage.
Good luck.

Re: Working moms...help!
Ideally I get up at 5:45 (more like 6/6:15), shower/get ready, start my car and load it up. Then go to change/dress/feed DS at 7. But lately he wakes up at 5:30 so these events occur in any given order depending on the day. I always shower before tending to him though so at least my hair can air dry. I have bottles/clothes/daycare supplies laid out or packed up the night before as well as my clothes and anything I need for work. It is really hectic, but I guess I"m used to it now.

Re: Working moms...help!
Amazingly it seems to run like clockwork for us. I lay Noah's clothes out the night before, I don't have to bring anything additional for him, they supply all the food, snacks and milk for his day. They have an inhouse cook and she makes really lovely food.
So I get up at 6.30, take a shower while my husband either has his coffee and if Noah is awake, he gives Noah his milk. I am ready downstairs and dressed by 7, thats when husband gets into shower, I play with Noah and get him dressed and we all leave the house at the same time, about 7.55, nursery opens at 8 am. This works really well for us! Noah gets breakfast at nursery, so there is nothing like that to worry about!!! Most of the time Noah sleeps until about 7.15 ish (except on the weekends when he wakes at 6... )

Re: Working moms...help!
It's pretty chaotic, actually. I started doing drop offs at the beginning of this month and I don't really have it all down yet but here's how it goes:
I get up at around 6:30am, shower, make my coffee, walk the dog (quickly). Usually Jake is up by then, so I get him dressed and prepare and feed him breakfast. By then it's about 7:30am and DH is just rolling out of bed. I get dressed, do my hair & makeup. DH usually helps me round up and pack up my stuff and the baby's stuff, brings it down to my car and warms up my car. Out the door at around 8:15am. I have no idea what takes us so long.
I walk into work about 1 minute to 9am.
