Working out after IUI ?
I recently started working out and am trying to get into a routine of doing so. After an IUI is it okay to proceed? I definitely won’t do abs though. And what is okay to do besides walking? DH says I shouldn’t run but I want to incorporate running into my workout asap.

Re: Working out after IUI ?
Hmmm that's a good question. While I dont have the answer to this - I can tell you that from my experience maybe just take it easy for a few days as far as strenuous activity goes because I find that I cramp for a few days sometimes...and you dont want to aggravate anything....know what I mean? Hope that makes sense.

Re: Working out after IUI ?
I always have been told not to do any strenous activity the day of the IUI. Personally, I would not go running the day of the IUI.
Also, when I am on injectables, my exercise is restricted to pretty much walking or the stationary bike.

Re: Working out after IUI ?
All of my IUIs were unmedicated. I did work out pre and post IUI. In fact just a day or two after my IUI, the RE who did my last IUI was on the machine behind me at the gym. I said hello - he didn't recognize my face BUT he did not tell me to stop working out so for me, it was ok. I think you will get different answers from different people.

Me too. They are afraid of you twisting your ovaries.
I was really sore after because of my ovaries, not the procedure. I guess it's a difference if you did medicated or unmedicated.

Re: Working out after IUI ?
Thanks everybody. Looks like I'll be on the couch another couple of days... Thanks for the tip on working out while doing injectables. I wasn't sure about that either..

Working out definitely helps me take my mind off of TTC. And I feel good after so I don't want to stop..
