Working out early. Like 5:30am.
I have been getting up to work out before the rest of my family gets up, it's the only time I have.
For those who get up early, do you feel extra winded in the am? Any tips? Will it just get better with time?
Or am I just weird...lol...thanks!

They say you should wake up, eat, wait, then workout. I don't have time for that. I get up at 6, workout & am showered before the kids get up. It supposedly not as effective to workout on an empty stomach, but something is better than nothing in my book and it's literally the only time I have to myself.

Are you eating something first?
Your workouts are more effective if you eat something first. In the mornings, especially when I work out that early, I usually drink a Shakeology shake and it gives me vitamins and nutrients but also the energy to jump start my day.

I hear conflicting reports. They say if you workout on an empty stomach THEN eat, you burn more calories.
I think you need to know your body if you can handle that.
I like to owkr out in the morning if I can. I dont have kids yet, but I hate mornings more of a night owl. But, when I do work out in the morning, it wakes me right up better than a shower.

I used to work out on an empty stomach and eat a good post-workout meal to maximize the effects. I just can't work out with any undigested food or liquid in my stomach because I wind up feeling sick and burping
