Working with another Agent from the same company but not the same "store"?
We are working with an agent who we liked at first but she is showing us crap! We told her we wanted to stay under 400K And so far she has showed us 3 houses under that the rest were over 400K (althoughway up to 429K) everything she showed us has been CRAP PURE CRAP. We see things online and don't understand why she wont show them to us. Maybe she thinks we are young and naive? And we will buy crap?
Well anyway my dads friends brother is a real estate agent Id like to give him a shot but he works for the same company but not the same place. Is that BAD?

have you signed anything with your agent? if not and you really arent happy then switch!! esp if she isnt showing you the things that you found online...i got frustrated with our realtor but that is because i kept feeling like we found stuff online that he didnt...but in th end he found what we bought (it was a little higher than we had originally wanted BUT needed alot less work than a lot of the other places)
anyway...i dont think that it matters if your dads friend is with the same company go for it...(but if you signed something then you cant)

We signed some crap about the seller paying her commision or something. Nothing Binding. We asked her if this ment we had to use her and she said NO.

Go and use the person you like. If you arent happy and you didnt sign with her then I dont see any reason to have her show you anymore homes Scott

The sellers pay her commission, so I would think, since you're not happy with her, that you should DEFINITELY go with someone else! Good luck!

Thanks guys. We went today to some open houses. We found two houses that were really nice. And about the same price or a little more then what she showed us and they were really nice. Not the CRAP she showed us.

Re: Working with another Agent from the same company but not the same "store"?
I used many agents when looking. The market was too hot and the good one's were going quickly so I couldn't wait around. There was one agent I went out with more often then others, but we didn't end up buying with her. That is how it works, I felt bad at first, but we weren't the first nor would we be the last.
The funny thing is agent A was showing us a bunch of houses and we actually bid on 2, but lost them. I met agent B at an open house and went out with her one day. Then she called us about our house and we saw it that morning (realtors saw it Friday, we saw it the first day on Saturday). We immediately placed a bid. That afternoon Agent A called us about the house. We told her we couldn't go because I was very sick (which was true, but I went out in the am because I couldn't miss the house). Turns out the selling agent was Agent A's sister! How funny is that!

Oh and Agent A and B were both from Century 21, just different offices.
