World's oldest person dies in Brooklyn
She was born in 1899. Can you imagine all the changes that she's seen during her lifetime?!

Wow!! Amazing that she lived to be 116!! A lot of changes she has lived through for sure!
My Great Great Grandmother as born in 1888, but passed away 37 years ago! It would have been awesome to have her here this long to tell my own kids some fascinating stories

Re: World's oldest person dies in Brooklyn
My great-grandma is 104...she's starting to really forget a lot of things and people. It takes a bit of time of sitting and talking with her for things to "click" but other than that, she's doing pretty well! I often think the same - the changes she has seen throughout her lifetime is nothing short of amazing.
My niece is 4 - so there is literally a century between them - and she calls my great-grandma (who is her great-great-grandma) her best friend.

My great-grandparents both lived to be 102 and were married for over 75 years. They passed away in 2005 and I loved hearing their stories because they witnessed so much progress in their lifetime! (1903-2005).
