Worried - Is this normal?
DD is just about three weeks. Recently, she's eating more at a serving - almost four ounces without a problem (pediatrician said she can eat up to four ounces, at most, per serving, if she wants/needs it). After her morning bottle, at about 9, I put her down for a nap. Well, she's still sleeping. I'm finding with more milk, she sleeps much longer stretches (4-5 hours), where I almost have to wake her up for her next feeding (this is during the day). Over night, she's been waking up about every four hours, too, for a feeding, but waking up on her own. I'm worried she's sleeping too much - is that even possible??

Re: Worried - Is this normal?
I wouldn't worry about how much she is sleeping. They sleep a ton at that age. As for the feedings, I'd ask your doctor. I had to wake DD during the day every three hours because she was only in the 10th percentile and they wanted her to gain weight. At night I was allowed to feed on demand. But, many of my friends with average weight babies were able to feed on demand day and night.

Re: Worried - Is this normal?
Totally normal! At 3 weeks my DD basically just woke up to eat and would then fall right back asleep. Let her sleep!
As it is now (even at 9 weeks), she still typically does this, but will stay awake for about 30-45 minutes after her bottle.
