Worried about my cat

As some of you know my cat Bella (14yrs old) stopped using the litter box. I thought it might be the anxiety of the new kitten (who is now a big kitten and tries to play with Bella) I took her to the vet and they discovered that her thyroid was way out of whack, so we started medication. She has been on the meds about 3 weeks and her levels are back to normal.

About a week ago she started throwing up , constantly. Mostly dry heaving and then throwing up saliva. (last night she threw up 6 times in 2 hours.)She has not eaten since yesterday morning. The vet suggested I soak her food in chicken broth and she still doesn't want it. We are stopping medications for the weekend to see how she does. But she just looks miserable. Discharge coming out of her eye. She isn't going to the bathroom at all - not even on the floor where she currently was going. She let out a small , hard poop last night.

I'm just worried about her. The vet said let's give it through the weekend and see how she does.

Update - we stopped the thyroid medication but I also noticed she has stopped eating. She is only drinking water. Saturday and Sunday I gave her her anxiety meds with tuna fish (suggested by the vet) but she threw it up about half an hour later.

She just had a full blood workup about a month ago and everything except her thyroid was normal, but all of a sudden she is taking a turn for the worse.

I'm so so sorry. It's so hard to watch them suffer and not understand why or how to help. Are there any different meds you can try her on? I mean, taking her off the meds will probably help with her vomiting, but then her thyroid might get out of control again. Many prayers and good thoughts for Bella. I wish they could "really" talk so we would know what was bothering themChat Icon
