worried about weight gain!
Hi, My son is 71/2 months old and weighs 15 pounds. he was born at 7.4 everytime i go to the doctor she says he is bet. the 5th and 10th percentile and not to worry because he is growing. he is in the 10th for head and the 50th for height. when i leave the doctor i feel fine but then my family says he is too light and they make me worry. he also does not like to eat much, but is very active and exploring. he also pushes a lot when pooping and sometimes the poop is very hard. would you be worried?

Re: worried about weight gain!
If he has picked a percentile and is sticking to it, I wouldn't be worried.

I agree.
Our friends' son is very small for his size, grew in proportion & is now an extremely active, but small 5 year old. At one point, my friend pushed the doctor about it. The only thing they suggested (at 2 years old) is to have him drink ensure & more milkshakes.
eta. Also once they start to crawl & walk they will lose more weight.

Re: worried about weight gain!
hannah was born at 4 lbs and now at 11 months is 16 lbs. she is also in the 5th percentile for weight and height and the25th for head. i am not worried. as long as she is gaining then she is doing fine. dont listen to everyone else. go with your gut :)
