Would it be possible to find plane tickets, a nice hotel and all the fun extras for a Disneyworld vacation during Easter break?

Am I wasting my time? Would all the nice hotels have no availability and would there be no reservations left for all the special dinnings and events for my 4-year old to experience?

PS. Anyone have any idea how much the Disney travel agents who advertise on here charge?

Not too late. I booked my Disney trip in January for April, last year. Stayed at the Poly and had loads of ressies, including breakfast at Cinderellas castle and many other character or coveted meals.

eta- I just realized you said Easter break. I went the week after.

TAs are free to use. I know a lot but find Kim's (mouse tale travels) help invaluable. If I used a TA I would go to her. Since it is last minute I would contact her and see what she can do. It is possible sure but you might not get the most popular places. Characters can be seen for free in the parks so you don't miss out on that just more convenient in the meals.

There are still plenty of fabulous resort rooms, it's dining that's going to be more of a challenge. If you are willing to be flexible and have Park Hopper ticket, it makes the situation much easier. Otherwise you might have to choose between the best day for a theme park and a meal you really want. If you have the Park Hopper, you can do both - spend the day at the less crowded theme park AND dine at the one where you wouldn't want to spend the day.

There are rooms, I looked in the website yesterday. You will, pay a pretty penny. The Wilderness Lodge was $499 a night at rack rates. Insane
