Would it be silly to start from the begining?
We did the fremara, clomid, iui, injectible iui and finally IVF route with my son.
And then we got PG naturally. Obviously after my M/C Im not thinking of doing this anytime soon, but thinking about it helps.
So I'm starting tot hink egg quality is my issue as everytime I get Pg naturally ( 3 times) I have a M/C or worse.
I was thinking after the tissue results come back of asking the dr to try clomid once we are ready.
If I can get PG naturally , should I try again? with some help to improve ( if possible) egg quality?
Or is it a dumb thought considering it was over 3 yrs of unprotected BD'ing to get PG naturally?
Or would going straigh to FET make more sense?
Financially I need to consider things as well.
Just questioning outloud. Any thoughts appreciated.
TIA!
Eta- my issues are high FSH and very low male morph. and severe cervical scarring

Planning ahead is a good thing, its one of the few things we have control over
I think when your ready, I would go with the FET first. The others obviously have a chance of working, but after copays, and time, theres a good chance it will wind up costing more and/or leading you to FET anyway. Plus there is the annual storage fee you'll wind up paying in addition.

I agree, I would do the FET first - then explore other options.

Donna,
I would think since you are getting pregnant on your own and you are carrying pretty long (I think 12 weeks is longer then most for egg quaility) However, if you know you have high FSH then do the wheat grass before you thinging to TTC. Once I was TTCing, I would add progesterone to the cycle.
But then again, the FET you already know are good eggs.....
I just don't know....
I wish you well!!!!!

I don't know what to say. Clomid would help with egg quality, no? But the FET would garuentee a good egg. I just don't know?? I'm so sorry.

I would go for the FET. How many do you have left?
Good Luck with your decision Donna!

I have 3, and they would put all 3 back. They are not great quality. I dont know if all 3 would survive a thaw anyway.

But, if they don't survive the thaw...at least you know where you stand. You would be amazed at what survives. And as far as quality, if I remember correctly Alex was the product of two poor quality embryos.

go with the FET. And hopefully that will be enough and you won't have to consider any other options

I am no where near educated enough to help you with this decision. But whatever you decide to do, good luck!!!

In addition I've read that even if the embie looks poor under the microscope it has no bearing on the baby in most cases. On implantation, maybe but not on a healthy child

Re: Would it be silly to start from the begining?
IMO, you have nothing to lose by trying the Clomid again (except the risk of another loss). They say that after a m/c you can be very fertile.
I would wait until you are "less fertile" for the FET.
Good luck!!!

Re: Would it be silly to start from the begining?
First off I am sorry for your losses. Have you found out the reasons for your miscarriages? I would definitely do the FET and if that doesn't work then maybe a fresh IVF cycle with PGD. Best of luck!
