Depends on who you talk to. I know a bunch of the *money guys* at my job have been moving their money and buying stock, but I am pretty sure they either have brokers or planners helping them decide which.

We opened an account on Ameritrade and are buying quality stocks (for whatever that is worth these days)

I don't know how to go about doing it, but my husband has been buying stock like crazy. He's so smart when it comes to this stuff, so I trust what he's doing. Our company's stock has also been plummeting (his stock options are beyond worthless right now  ) but he's also been buying stock in the company.

If you are just venturing into it I would start with Sharebuilder.
I just bought Ford shares with sharebuilder.... I'm going to buy a few more equities- but not sure what yet.
