Would these weights be beneficial for trimming the backs of upper arms?

I've noticed that my upper arms have gained a ton of weight. I really need to trim/tone them before it starts to get worse.

A friend suggested getting ankle/wrist weights (the kind that velcrow on to your wrists) and wearing them around the house while I do stuff. She thinks the extra 2 to 3 lbs during normal daily activity will help trim my upper arms. Do you think this will work, or should I just get 3 lb. dumbells and do upper arms excersizes with them for 20 minutes or so each day?

You cant spot reduce. That is if you have fat on your arms you need to diet so the fat goes away. If you work them out, when you do lose the weight they will be nice and toned.

I agree. I am dieting as well to lose the fat. I just cant decide if using these weights are worth it to help tone the upper arm or if it will barely help at all and I should just use regular weights.

I personally do not think they would work. I would suggest getting regular weights and exercising with them.
