Would this be weird or a good idea?
DH and I have a wedding to go to for a close family member. We know they are leaving the next day for Hawaii and are leaving all the cash/checks they receive with a parent.
DH said why don't we give them whatever amount we would normally give on an American Express gift card so that they can take it on their HM and use it in Hawaii instead of racking up charges on their CC. ( This is something the groom was concerned about since it is not all inclusive)
Just wanted some feedback on the idea

Absolutely a GREAT IDEA!
We just did this for a couple in which we attended their wedding, and they said it was AWESOME!

I think it's a fantastic idea! Just make sure you let them know - I didn't open any cards until after we returned from the honeymoon.

I think it's a great idea but agree to let them know to open yours before leaving for the honeymoon.

GReat idea! Someone gave us a Visa Gift Card at our wedding and we used it on our HM! SO GREAT!
