Would this bother anyone else?
My aunt and her husband have always had a bad habit of buying the same things that I buy or doing things at the same time as me etc... In the past there have been numerous occasions where they have done this although they never admit to it.
For ex. I bought a new cell phone and they saw it and said "cool" and then by the end of the week they had bought there daughter the same exact phone.
they bought the same model home phone I had
They were looking to buy a dog and they were looking at Malteses and I made the mistake of mentioning how I was going to get a Yorkie so they went and bought a Yorkie.
We bought a new car on a thursday and without ever having mentioned anything about buying one themselves they went out on saturday and showed up with what else, a new car thank goodness it wasn't the same type of car!
But now we just bought a house and we bought bedroom furniture that I'm extremely happy about and today my aunt tells me she bought a bedroom set, THE ONE WE JUST BOUGHT! What the F*$K??? All the different furniture there is out there and they buy the SAME EXACT set! Not something similar but the EXACT same one! And the EXACT same pieces we bought too.
It's not like we have the same wallet or "I like your purse so much I went out and bought the same one" This is my whole friggin bedroom.
So how is that going to look when our family and friends visit us and see the same damn furniture. Not to mention I can't go to your house because I'm going to see my bedroom furniture.
Anyhow, my cousin told her I wasn't happy and she has the nerve to be mad at me (not that I give a s**t) but I know that if I had gone out and bought something as big as the same furniture she had she'd be pretty PO'd.
Is it just me or would anyone else be mad too?
ETA: Yes she had already seen mine it was no accident.

Okay...to start with I would be really PO'd...and I have had people who have done that sort of thing and I always wonder why? don't they have a mind of their own?!
On the other hand,
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!
Just trying to look at the bright side...

It seems like they don't know how to think for themselves or make any kind of independent decison. I wouldn't share any more personal information!!
I'd be POd too.

Re: Would this bother anyone else?
Me and DH are kind of in the same situation. One of my friends duplicate everything we do. We had our house renovated, they have there house renovated, we go buy a new car, they go buy a new car.
Me and DH laugh it off because it just goes to show us what losers they are that they copy everything we do.

That would annoy me too. You should start "fibbing: about the stuff you are going to do or buy just so they will buy the wrong one.

Re: Would this bother anyone else?
I had a friend that always did stuff like this and it was very frustrating. It's said that it should be taken as a form of flattery, but I always found it offensive.
