Would this look okay? edited: would antique white look better???

My kitchen is painted BM georgian brick, I have oak cabinets and black appliances. Would a black table look okay??? Chat Icon I just found one that I LOVE and it's on major clearance right now. I need to make a decision asap!

Please be honest, I won't be offended!! Actually, please tell me what WOULD look good! LOL!

quick pic....if I got a black table I'd get a new lighting fixture as well....

ETA: Would ANTIQUE WHITE look better? Opinions?????

I think it would look fine. What I thought it could play off of was your countertops. Looks like it would coordinate well with them. Get it!

Chat Icon I would do a lighter light fixture and some light linen drapes. The table would look nice, but I would do VERY simple and airy accessories. JMHO

I have audubon russet in my kitchen & dining area, its very close to georgian brick & I'm planning to either have my dining set refinished in black or buy a new set that is black. I agree with keeping the accessories light though.

I think it would look great! I love black furniture as a contrast. It will probably tie in with your granite but if not I might get another piece like a mirror or something with the black finish.

Re: Would this look okay?

I don't think black would look right. Can you paint the corner cabinets(very nice BTW) to tie it all in? I think the antique white table may look better.

Sorry, but I just can't see a black table in that room. I think I'd prefer the antique white.

Do you have any pics of the table?

Thanks!
Now that I think about it, I think it would change things up a bit and brighten up the room.

ETA: I feel like if I got an oak table, there would be too much "wood" in the kitchen, between the cabinets, built-ins and the floor. KWIM?

I think both will look nice -
It depends on the look you're going for.
I think the black is more of an interesting contrast, but the white would fit as well -

While I wouldn't dislike the black I think I would really like the white in there!

I would prefer antique white for sure. Black seems very drastic based on all the pics you showed us.
