Would you buy dress shoes

if your toddler was going to wear them for about an hour?

We have no other special occasion where Jared would be wearing dress shoes.
I just feel funny putting him in sneakers with a dressy outfit.

Thoughts?

My parents bought DS Black Nike Sneakers. They are perfect for those occassions he needs something dressy because they are ALL BLACK so no one can really tell they are sneakers.
He gets to wears them every day with regular clothes.

Is that an option?

I would go to payless, target or marshalls and try not to spend more than $10 on a pair.

I've done the same - or I've have a bunch of hand me down shoes I'd use. Can't you borrow someone's? Post his size...

I've passed all my kid's clothes down otherwise I'd definitely have them for you.

I think you can even get away with dark colored plain sneakers.. and then he would be able to wear them again

Re: Would you buy dress shoes

I totally agree with Payless or Target. Most of the time you can find oxford type lace ups or more casual slip ons.

I got these navy slip ons for both of the boys from Target. In person they look a little less sporty, gray near the sole of the shoe is not as bright.

I would but I would either try to get them cheap - ebay, amazon, payless, or I would try to borrow them from someone.
