Would you buy preemie clothes or just 0-3 mths

Since we are delivering at 35.5 weeks what size would you buy? Can I get away with the 0-3 months or would they be too big?

I would def. buy preemie. DS was born at 37 weeks, and he is 3 weeks old now, and 0-3 are still way too big on him.

Re: Would you buy preemie clothes or just 0-3 mths

My son was born on his due date, and weighed 8 lbs 5 oz. I thought he would be in 0-3 but it was HUGE on him. Thankfully I had a newborn outfit to bring him home in, but that was still really big.

My nephew was born at 39 weeks, and weighed 6 lbs 12oz, and newborn swam on him. Preemie was a perfect fit! I think you should bring a preemie outfit, as well as a newborn.

I delivered at 35.5 weeks, too! I needed preemie clothes -- the 0-3 newborn size was just too big for DS. Word of warning, though: he outgrew the preemie clothes within two weeks! So, you may want to keep the number of preemie outfits down and plan to do a lot of laundry...

Def buy some preemie and newborn clothes. DD was born at 39 weeks and was exactly 7 lbs (although she lost some weight at first) and her 0-3 stuff is HUGE on her. I really wish I would have bought more newborn clothes.

I'd buy some preemie. Wal Mart actually has a big selection and very cheap.

DS was born at 36 weeks and is now 2 weeks old and 0-3/newborn are still too huge on him. I had my family go out and get preemie outfits. I have about 7 outfits.

a few preemie outfits (2-3) wouldn't hurt until you know for sure how big she is. my son was born weighing 5.5 pounds, he STILL fits into the 2 preemie outfits he has 5 weeks later (though he likely won't fit them too much longer, and it's more due to length than anything else). 0-3 is large on him still, i've found that IF i can find items that are "up to 7(or 8) pounds" they fit pretty well from the beginning. I would definitely say preemie. Newborn might fit but only if it runs small.

I wouldnt buy a lot b/c they grow out of them pretty quick...

The twins were born at 35 weeks and then had to stay a week in the Nursery (strictly for observation) so there was a week there that they didnt even need the preemie clothes....My eldest DD was born at EAXACTLY 36 weeks and she was 7lbs 15oz!!!!

Definitely DO NOT buy the preemie diapers..although they may have changed..they hold nothing!!!!!!!!

I would think preemie, but you could get a few things in newborn or 0-3 just in case. They will fit eventually.

i would buy some premie since youare going a few weeks early, but not too much bc your baby may be a good size. I would buy more 0-3 or clothes that say NB (newborn)
