A friend of mine goes for their low cost vaccinations, but I like to get them from the vet, does it really matter? Is there a difference?

I think I am going to go this year. Every time I take Misty for her shots it's over $300 - I'm sure Petco would be way less and, let's face it, it's the same vaccine.

I plan on taking Bonnie to Petco this year for her vaccines. My vet is too expensive.

I bring the bigger dogs to Petco for their shots. They get the 6 in 1 plus heartworm testing. The smaller ones I bring to the vet b/c she splits the shots for them b/c they are so tiny.
I have brought all my bigger dogs to Petco & have been very happy with their clinics.

Petco is fine for shots - I used to take Ebony and will start taking Scout.

nope. It's their yearly visit, and I'm more comfortable with taking them to their own vet. I don't want just anyone poking my pups with vaxes.

Re: Would you go to Petco for shots for the dogs?
I don't have a dog but I have a cat and I took my cat there for her shots. I don't know if it was a fluke or what but where they injected her left her temporarily paralyzed on one side. When we came home she wouldn't come out of her carrier. I finally got her out and put her on the couch and was petting her. The phone rang and I got up to answer it. She tried to jump of the couch and she couldn't stand and kept collapsing. It was awful. I was so scared. I called my mother screaming so that she could come to my apartment at the time and go with me to the emergency vet. I called them and they told me to watch her. Finally it did come back and she is fine now but that was a scary couple of hours. She has never had that happen before or since.
