I wouldn't be comfortable with that.

honestly i think i would be fine with it.. with the way the economy is we cant all run out and get new cars just because we have babies... but I would def. be looking into getting a hard top for the jeep. It would make me feel a bit better. and its MUCH cheaper then getting a whole new car when im sure theres nothing wrong with the jeep you have now! theres even some places that sell used ones so its not as expensive!

I don't think the car seat will fit. My DH was looking to get a jeep as a second car and my father who works for a Jeep Dealer said a carseat will not fit, they have tried at the dealership and have always failed. I do believe the newer 4 door version is ok though.... so it may not even be an issue for you if you won't even be able to get the car seat to fit properly.

It wouldn't be my first choice but not because of saftey, but due to lack of storage. I work in EMS and I can tell you ANY vehicle can roll. Some of the worst accident I have seen were in "safe" vehicle because people get cocky, for lack of a better word. People in Trackers, Jeeps, and who ride motorcycles are very aware of their surrondings. I drove a smaller, more prone to flip car and I can tell you I was always aware of what I was doing because I was not lulled into saftey. All i'm saying is anything can happen and to pick out a specific vehicle isn't really "fair". Accidents happen no matter what you're in.

I would be fine with it. The roll cage on a soft top jeep is just as protective as a roof on any other car. It has a full back seat, which is safe for the carseat... I truly wouldn't worry about this at all....
except maybe the cold factor in winter...even with a hardtup, Jeeps tend to be a little cold.
