But it get warm in the rooms (kitchen, dining room) I have 4 high hat lighting in the kitchen would you place the fan in the middle of the lights??? My Dh says its going to look funny but sometimes I think its b/c he has to do some hard labor.. (lol) If you need pics I can post .. Or if you have seen it post pics. Thanks

I dont think it would look funny. We have high hats in our living room and a ceiling fan in the middle of the room.
I just dont personally like the look of a ceiling fan in the kitchen though.

we have one if our kitchen with 4 high hats - I don't think it looks weird at all. I am not really a fan (no pun intended) of the look of ceiling fans, but we needed this for functionality so the AC could be carried into the kitchen from the LR.

Just make sure your high hats aren't too close to the fan blades or you will get a "disco light show" effect. That happened to my IL's years ago in their kitchen.

OMG yes! One of my lights is a bit closer (in the corner where the cabinets peak out a bit) and if you stand in just the right light, it gets disco-y and it's a bit freaky
In a large room it's probably not an issue though, esp, if you don't have a large fan.

This is what Electrician DH said when I wanted them in the living room. I double checked with Electirician BIL because I thought he was being lazy too but it was true.
