Would you say something? kind of PR)

Few days ago an ice cream truck started coming down the block with music and all AROUND 9:30PM sometimes laterChat Icon It stops in front of our house(it's their "spot") for 10-15 minutes and sometimes more and it's pretty loud(loud engine +loud music)
DD goes to sleep at 8-8:30 and she wakes up every time the truck comes around. And then it takes her 1-2 hours to go back to sleep. BUT last night she woke up screaming and shaking. My DH and I were so worried bc she wouldn't stop crying and shaking even after we picked her up, she was obviously scared.
Should I say something to the driver? Can I say something? Would you say something?
I mean why would he come after 9pm, it's not even summer yet.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I would certainly talk to the driver. Why is he coming around so late anyway? It isn't even summer yet!

i don't understand why an ice cream truck would come around 9pm??? Most kids are in bed by then, does he get any business???

I would totally say something, and would not feel bad about it at all, tell him to park a couple of houses down the street and explain your situation.

You can and should say something...

A good compromise might be that he can play his music while moving, but not while parked (especially in front of your house!)

We had this last summer, I stormed out of the house with a screaming infant on my hip and yelled at teh driver, they guy never came back again. I live in a village and I'll call this year if it happens again to see what the rules are because 9-some nights even 9:30 is ridiculous.
