Would you still get on a plane to FL tomorrow if you were just diagnosed with the flu?
 Ugh.
Alex & DH were sick for a couple of days this week, but it came & went pretty quick.
I, however got a real doozie.
We aren't sure if it's the same strain, therfore, don't know if they will get what I have-Great.
We are supposed to be visiting my Dad- who is looking SO forward so seeing us-and our bags are all packed.
I feel really crappy sometime & sort of okay others.
Just started TamiFlu.
What would you do- I'm down to the wire here.
Skip the trip & stay in bed & pay a slight penalty or just wing it & go- the warmer weather might to me some good.
PS- The Dr. said it's okay to go.

Oh you poor thing! This is a tough call...do you feel well enough to travel??? If you were feeling really rough, I would probably pay the penalty and go a few days later!

Well if your Dr said it is OK and you feel that you can then go. Especially if you can get some R&R there at your Dads...not like you are going to Disney....right

That's a tough call. When do you have to decide by. I guess it all depends on how you feel by morning. At least if you do go you'll be at your dad's house and not a hotel.

That is a tough call. If it were me I know I would push myself to go )but I cant say that is the best thing to do). I would try and relax in the sun and let others take care of the baby.
Feel better what ever you decide.

I would defintely go, even if I had to crawl to the plane unless there was something going on with my ears, then I might postpone.
But I think it will run its course in a few hours and you'll be glad you went.

If they gave you Tamiflu and you caught your symptoms early enough you shouldn't get the full blown flu so I would go and hope for the best. I'd rather rest in warm weather than cold, plus your dad can help DH with Alex so hopefully you can get a break.

not sure...what about getting everyone else sick? your dad, people on the plane. It's a sealed cabin w/ recirculated air. I get disgusted everytime we travel and catch something on the plane & it ruins our trp when we left healthy.

I have to agree. The last time I was on a plane I caught the stomach virus, from the man sitting next to me, it was very obvious he was so sick. I was so annoyed. I would stay home and try to rest up and reschedule the trip. Feel better.

no way, planes have so much bacteria, my frend was in Bahamas last week and her daughter was dx with pneumonia and her doc said "stay off that plane, too many germs, stay where you are", so they stayed in the Bahamas an axtra 4 days Planes are like toothbrushes, breeding grounds for infections. Sorry, can you postpone it Andrea, get a note from your doc to give to the airlines
