Last year struck me more than this year. I think I am shocked by it, b/c I remember when it happened and can even picture the cover of Newsday Part II in my head (maybe it was the following sunday - it was an abstract, colorful painting of him)
by remembering it - it means I am OLD!

You guys think you are old - I remember my boyfriend at the time - I was 15 - was devastated cuz he loved John Lennon. I remember him crying and I was so shocked to see a guy cry over someone he didn't actually know.

I remember my Dad being sad...I was only 5 or 6 I guess. So sad, he was so talented. But his music spans generations, so it will never be lost.
