Wow I have no patience today(long)

I think this pregnancy is really going to be a test of my self control! So far just about every person I have spoken too today, I've wanted to smack across the face! Mostly for things that I would just let roll off my back.

1st I spoke with my sister who got on one of her rants about how awful our family is because we don't spend enough time together (which isn't true, I think she wants us to live on some kind of commune together) that led beautiful it is outside and how lucky she is she doesn't have to work, like I do, so she can spend the day outside

Then my co-worker comes in my office and told me he needed a full set of the maps he gave me a few days ago not just the 1st page - I apologized and told him he caught me on a busy day and when he only gave me the one sheet, I assumed that was all he needed not the complete set.

Then he goes on to tell me the difference between a drafter and a CAD Manager (I’m the CAD Manager) - a drafter doesn't think outside the box, I should think outside the box. So he not only insulted me, but also my drafters! I was trying to control myself and he saw I was upset and tries to make a joke calling himself a "retard", hitting himself in the chest and talking in a "slow" voice! I really don't like the word "retard" I have a step son with Autism and am maybe a little sensitive. I apologized again for not having the complete set and said I really don't like the word "retard" in the manor you are using it. Then he goes on to say "I’ve worked with mentally handicap people and they call themselves retards because they know it's true"



I'm breathing deep today, trying to keep my cool....

Welcome to the wonderful world of idiots and pregnancy.

Now wait until you are driving and EVERY single driver on the road annoys you, can't drive and is in your way. Pregnancy sometimes brings out the frustrated driver in you.

Then, for the inappropriate pregnancy comments-those are super fun!

Your not being overly sensitive... people are annoying!!! I totally know how you feel! People have been getting under my skin today too!! Hang in there!

I swear I'm feeling the same thing!!! Not only is every little thing DH is doing is annoying the crap out of me, me and my coworker that share an office, I want to smack, she complains she isn't getting any business, (we're in ad sales) but meanwhiile she walks in at 12 every day and is on the phone with her entire extended family and friends for the rest of the day, stop bi**ing and work you aZZ!!!!!!!!!!

your lucky your coworker isn't my coworker. You had more self restraint than me. I would have slugged him! I HATE that word and I see people use it on here all the time and it drives me nuts!!!!!!!!!

LOL...i feel exactly the same way.

I yelled at DH on Sunday in front of my BIL and his wife. They are our best friends and it really wasn't a big deal. My SIL says "I'm so not going to be that way when I'm pregnant." I SWEAR it's taken everything in my body to not punch her in the face. I can't wait until she gets pregnant so I can throw that back in her face over and over and over again!!!
