wow-there are great people in this world...
who'd ever think you'd be turned down due to "overbooking" for a volunteer event?? 
I just found out that a church does a "dinner for the homeless" every year. The cafeteria is "done up" all formal, and volunteers are all dressed up in black/white waiter/waitress outfits.
A huge bus goes into the city to bus in many many homeless families, adults and children.
They are served a full dinner, and then later given gifts (that are provided by the church community).
I called to get the contact person to be involved with this and was told "Im so sorry, we're overbooked with volunteers, we have more than enough signed up to help out"
at first I was  a little sad, but then I quickly thoought WOW, now THAT's AMAZING, that's pretty cool to have that kind of turnout, that kind of dedication to helping those in need and making a difference...

it really is so amazing.
one lady was telling me the other day that last year, one guy just wanted a warm jacket, and as they gave out gifts, his just happened to be a nice big warm jacket. he cried 
and the looks on the childrens faces..
I may just have to crash the party 
the power of love, prayer, and good people.

that is AWESOME.... i recently had been on both recieving ends... the other day i went to a 7 11 by my job and saw a homeless man sitting there in front of the store.. i got him coffee and something to eatplus called 911 to have someone pick him up... then just tonight i dropped money(100) i needed for getting the little i can and some guy said to me mis you dropped something... when i looked back it was the money and man was i greatful.... it's good to know how some people can be so great(as in lif)
