Wow!!!
That happened with my grandmother. The doctor came out of surgery and told my parents that she did not make it. My parents went in the room to see her before she was taken to the morgue my mom was standing over her crying holding her hand and then my grandmother squeezed my mom's hand. My mom started screaming she is alive.

That happened to my mom's close friend. Her mom was pronounced brain dead. She signed to have her mom's organs harvested. Her mom went on to make a full recovery.
That's why I have a 6 month wait on turning me off any type of life support & haven't signed up to be an organ donor.

i saw a 20/20 about organ donors. They were investigating how some doctors were fast to pronounce someone dead if they were an organ donor. it was really scary ever since I saw that it made me reconsider organ donation.

The 6 month wait is on my health care proxies & directives. I don't believe you can do it on a list or driver's license.
The last thing I meant to do by posting that is to dissuade someone from organ donation. I strongly believe in it - for the all-dead, not mostly-dead.

Re: Wow, this is an amazing story!
That story is one of those examples where some hesitation actually paid off rather than quickly giving up hope. However, it is tricky in the case of organ donations since the loss of one life could potentially save several lives; it is a very difficult decision to make. Thankfully, the victim was left in one piece!
