WR- How much to give as a gift if you're a bridesmaid?
How much $$$ should the gift be if you're a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding?

I was thinking how much more to give, not less because of the cost of being in the wedding.

I generally give a little more to someone I am really close to.
Ex: Normally give $250 - would give a close friend $350 or the equivalent. My friend got married last year and since they really don't need $$$, we gave them a couples massage and dinner at the island they went to honeymoon at. Equivalent to giving a $350 gift.

The same as any good friend's wedding. I usually give $300-350, depending on my financial situation that week

I'd give more then I usually would....normally I give between 250-300...the last two bridal parties I was in I gave 500, but they were both family members....

We give about 400-500 if one of us is in the wedding and about 250-300 for close friends. Both of us are in a wedding next year and I think we'll probably give 500.

I just chipped in and bought a kitchenaid mixer for my friends bridal shower gift (I am in wedding)....so that was $200 on my part.
The wedding day gift will be $250
