Writing lesson plans for common core?
I need to write common core lesson plans. Can anyone give me examples of what you do if you have to do this as well?

It's just like writing lessons for the other standards. Just put the common core standards on the lesson instead. There is a common core library with sample lessons. http://schools.nyc.gov/Academics/CommonCoreLibrary/TasksUnitsStudentWork/default.htm

Re: Writing lesson plans for common core?
We do TC in our school which has already realigned their units of study with the CC so we have the new units and are implementing them. For math, the website www.ixl.com is really good for math CC. Just make sure that you go to State Standards on top, then on the next page click on Common Core on the right hand side. That will take you to a screen where you can pick a grade level. It's a great tool because it gives examples of what each of the standards would look like so you know what it is you are teaching. Some of the standards are so wordy that it gets confusing. This takes the confusion out of it. For math this website is also really helpful for planning lesson. Explore it, it is so helpful!
