I dont know many teams or their jerseys (except for a select few  )
But could it be in honor of the V Tech colors?
I did hear that this was done somewhere(the hats were worn) somewhere (forgot where ) in honor of the victims

that was the Washington Nationals on Tuesday. They wore the VT hats. Boston is wearing green for REd Auerbach.

I saw on one of the Red Sox hats the letters VT---so I assumed it was for Virginia Tech?
