WTH HAPPENED TO MY EASY GO TO BEDDER?
DS used to be a DREAM at nighttime. RIght to bed, no fuss (most of the time, and if he did fuss it was minimal) no muss. Nighttime used to be my favorite time of day, so relaxing and peaceful. Well, DS is 2, and nighttime is a NIGHTMARE now. He is not "mature" enough for a big boy bed and CIO scares me now b/c I"m scared he will climb out of this crib. BUT, I do still employ it it just takes me longer to work up the nerve to walk out of the room. BUT, nighttime is a fiasco now. WHat used to take me at most 10 minutes now, takes me about an hour. When he used to go to bed between 8 and 8:30, he JUST went down now and it's 10:10 here, and he's STILL not sleeping............. WTH? WHat do I do? Is this just a LONG phase? THis has been going on now over a month..........

Re: WTH HAPPENED TO MY EASY GO TO BEDDER?
I was just telling someone else my son went through a phase as well and I found story books on CD and movies on CD (Not DVD) just CD to listen to and DS now loves to pick out his story or "movie" to fall asleep to. I think he feels less lonely in the dark listening to these-and since there are no visuals he probably just imagines what is going on and falls asleep before the end! I also do have the FP soothing sounds and lights thing that looks like a childs radio that plays soft sounds or music and displays lights on the ceiling. Its a tough phase hang in there!

Thank you! HE does have the FP aquarium soother thing, but EVERY night is such an ordeal and he will play that thing for 45 minutes until he goes to sleep. I just can't take it anymore. I dread bedtime, whereas we BOTH used to enoy that special time together, now it's just a HORRIBLE battle.......... and I get to bed so much later b/c I need an hour or so to "recover" myself....... It just stinks.......

I hope hope hope its a phase..he seemed so scared. Any advice would be appriciated!!!!! Gavin will be 2 next month..
