WTH is wrong with people!
I had an argument with my mail carrier today & I'm just venting b/c I still can't get it out of my head.
I ran upstairs to wake my 2year old from nap & get him dressed to take my 4year old to school. I hear the doorbell & my 4 yr old opens the blinds sees who it is & screams it's the mail lady. My 2year old had no diaper on at this point. I quickly tape one on him & throw him into the crib, come down the stairs because I am assuming she needs a signature. From the the of the stairs, I hear her running her mouth about how "this woman is staring at her through the window & not answering the door & how she's not coming back." I fling open the front door, mail lady is next door now & I call for her. She ignores me, keeps walking, which pisses me off. I walked over to her & said I heard her ring the bell & heard her yelling at me though my door. Her tone was bitchy & said she wasn't yelling at me, she was on the phone. I tell her ok, the point is I heard you. Would it have been so difficult to just leave the slip without the raised voice & not to yell at my door again. She is going on & on about how she knew were were home b/c my kid was looking at her out the window & no one was answering the door & she's hot. I tell her of course he isn't going to open the door, he's 4 & you are unbelievably rude.
I have always been so nice to this lady. What a *****!

Too many people are on their phones when it's not appropriate.
While she could just have been having a bad day, she could use a lesson in self-awareness.
I would've considered calling the post office.
Sounds like she's way too comfortable in her role....

My old mailman was really good but he retired and his replacement is the pits. Our boxes are down by the driveways so he drives but is supposed to bring packages to the door (it's not a long walk) but if he thinks he can raise the flag and stick the package on the box he does and it usually ends up on the ground.

Calling the PO will get you nowhere unfortunately. My mailman is the worst and I've called repeatedly and nada. Once they had someone shadowing him, but of course when being watched he'll be on his best behavior. So silly.

Yeah, the entire situation was ridiculous. I am 100% sure that she was annoyed at having to fill out a slip for my package being that she knew someone was home. So she yelled through my door. Loud enough so that I could hear at the top of my staircase inside.
