WW Points-old vs new

Sorry if this has been asked before...I dont really go on this board that often.

What has been your experience with the new WW points plan, as opposed to the old one? I had a lot of success with the old points plan over the years, and have heard rumors that you dont lose as much weight on the new plan. The old plan doesnt seem to work for me anymore, so I'm hoping to have some success with the new one. Starting tomorrow!

Like you I had success with the old plan. However, I actually like the new plan much better. I'm a lifetime member at goal so I'm not losing, however when I first started the plan I had gained about 10lbs the few months before (got married, honeymoon, and a vacation). In the first week on the new plan I lost 5.6 lbs!!

The new plan encourages healthier eating- more protein and fiber, less carbs and fat. Also, fresh fruits and veggies are 0 PP so you can are encouraged to eat more of them.

I personally love it! I think part of the reason some people are unsuccessful is because they don't fully 'let go' of the old plan. You have to be 100% committed and trust the new plan will work. I've seen many people at the meeting I go to have success on it, and I myself have been successful.

Thanks...I appreciate the feedback. I havent even started yet and I feel like I almost set myself up to fail, thinking that it wont work based on what I've heard about it. I'm excited for tomorrow now!

Re: WW Points-old vs new

Please don't think that!! Like I said, you really need to be committed the plan in order for it to work. There's a great support thread on here too. So many other members have been so successful.

Think about how on the old plan you were probably eating alot of the same foods! Now its time to switch it up and try different things!

A word of caution- most food went up in points...however you do get more points per day. So dont be scared away by that!

Re: WW Points-old vs new

I did the old plan years ago and lost weight and kept it off for years. I've been on the new plan since February and I have to say I love this one a lot better. I never ever ever ever feel deprived where as before I would still be hungry. I ate more carbs the last time where as now I eat much more savory foods like protein.
