WW Points Plus- what am I missing
so many people are fatootzed about the new plan. To me it really doesnt seem tha much different?
O point fruit- great more points for carbs- but they give you more points so that seems like a wash to me And you have to pay attention to the carbs and proteins in food. seems like a good thing,no?
so besides having to buy new stuff.... why do people hate it?

I like it so far. I can definitely see how it's going to force me to eat better choices and not fill up on crap. I don't see the issue at all.

Same here.
There were not that many questions at my meeting this morning.
I think everyone should give it a try for a few weeks before complaining about it.

Re: WW Points Plus- what am I missing
I personally like this plan better.
I think people don't like it for a variety of reasons. First of all, some people just don't like change and the old plan worked. Another reason, many people don't understand the daily points allowance. They don't understand how they can lose weight when two people who are of very differing weights have the same amount of points (ex: my mom and I both get 29- yet our weights are very different). I understand this is because of a variety of factors added in- other's just can't grasp that concept.
Also, some people are worried about fruits being 0- because they contain a decent amount of sugar. As long as you don't overdue it you're fine. I find I'm reaching for fruit instead of 100 calorie packs with empty calories!

I don't get how the chobani greek yogurt, which has a ton of protein, has the same amount of points as a dannon light and fit, which does not even have half. Almost everything I eat, besides veggies, hasincreased in points :(

I love Chobani yougurt...I was hoping the points would go down with all the protein. It must be the fat and carbs bringing up the points. Either way, it still is a healthy option.

Re: WW Points Plus- what am I missing
Just took some adjustment. Ya know what I really think made everyone crazy...the company and the meetings themselves I feel that the leader really made me have anxiety about this. It was shrouded in secrecy and then it was unveiled. It's really not a big deal. WW created this hype for this.

I think people mostly don't like the fact that you have to pay for new stuff now. People feel as if weight watchers did this just to increase revenue.
Personally I like the new program. And I definitely found myself reaching for more fruits and veggies then a fiber one bar or 100 calorie pack.

Re: WW Points Plus- what am I missing
I used to be able to calculate the points of anything in 2 seconds, now it's a bit more difficult. However, I think it's a good plan and I already see myself making better choices. I was reading an article in the NYT in which people interviewed were complaining that they don't like fruits ande vegetables and don't like being "forced to diet." But the fact is you really do need to eat fruits and vegetables to be healthy. Maybe you can lose weight on Atkins, or eating processed foods, but the new plan is actually encouraging healthier eating and I think it's better for families. I mean, do you want your kids reaching for fiber one bars or pears? We needs to understand that these things are not equivalent even though the old points program set up a false equivalency.
I really like the new program and I think it will help me to lose more weight, be healthier, and form better eating habits. For example, this morning, I'm up, but I haven't had a chance to make breakfast yet. Normally I'd grab something quick or pick on something not so healthy while I get work done and then make breakfast (by which time I've already eaten god knows what), but this morning I washed a big bowl full of grapes, which I've been happily munching on, until I get up to make up egg whites.
