Re: WW's - What to eat at Mexican restaurant ?
I usually stick to grilled meat (chicken or steak) with a side of beans and guac. If I have the points I will eat nachos too because they are my fave but I make sure I count them out BEFORE I eat them.
Enjoy!!!
This may help as well - from ww website:
Cuisine of the Day: Mexican Article By: Leslie Fink, MS, RD
Flavorful Mexican food can delight the palate with fewer POINTS® values than you might think.
Greasy, cheesy foods from south of the border might sound off limits, but salsa, fajitas, steamed tortillas and pico de gallo (made from tomatoes, onions, jalapeños and peppers) should put you at ease. Grilled chicken or fish are also wonderful options.
Just remember to choose wisely from the condiments, perhaps opting for salsa and a dollop of guacamole instead of sour cream and grated cheese.
And decide beforehand if you'd like to have chips or a frozen margarita, so you can save up POINTS® values earlier in the week.
Wise Choices POINTS Value Pico de gallo, 1/2 cup 1 Black bean soup, 1 cup 2 Guacamole, 1/4 cup 2 Sangria, 4 fl oz 2 Gazpacho, 1 cup 3 Pork taco 4 Quesadilla, chicken 6 Bean burrito, 1 large 6 Chicken fajitas, 2 8
Not-So-Wise Choices POINTS Value Tortilla chips, 12 pieces 3 Margarita, 1 item 5 Beef chimichanga (fried burrito) 11 Chicken nachos, 4 11 Fried ice cream, 1/2 cup 11 Chorizo (sausage), 1 link 12 Taco salad with shell, no dressing 16 Chile rellenos (cheese stuffed fried peppers) without sauce, 2 18

Re: WW's - What to eat at Mexican restaurant ?
funny you ask...I've been going out a lot more than I have during my weight loss journey and just went for Mexican with a friend last week. I was worried I wouldn't find anything...but I did! I had the mexican grilled chicken wrap. I got the guac on the side and no sour cream. so yummy. and, it left points for two mojitos
