WWYD-Bonus
So I was out on leave and STD since Feb-Nov --bonus for 06 year were given out in March but you had to be there to get the check-policy is that you get it when you return. I've been back for 1 week and 2 days and no mention yet-no biggie but what if there is no mention of it-do I ask??? i understand not getting a bonus next year since I was out most of this year but would you broach the subject after the holidays or let it go-if yes how would you bring it up.....

Hmm, if it were me, I'd wait it out a bit. But I'm a chicken when it comes to confrontation, so don't go by me! Hope it works out!

I wouldn't say anything. I wouldn't assume that I'd be getting one. Or maybe they are planning to give you a 2007 one in March of 2008 and skipping then 06 one, KWIM?

Everyone in my department got one-I even got my merit increase
so it would be strange. I was thinking about waiting til march and see what happens-if I didnt get one I would ask then but then my BF who worked with me said it was too long to wait

Well, you could wait till March and see if they plan on giving you one now for the previous year. that's a definite possibility. Hmm, I can't even think of how a chicken shyt like me would go about this, either!

I would mention it to HR and/or Manager.
More in an "innocent" way like "do you know if my bonus check will be included in my next paycheck? I did not get it and was curious."
If said no then I would aks why since you really would have missed it by 1 month which does not seem fair.
