I'm going in January and spending 1 day at Magic Kingdom. We're there to celebrate my daughter's 5th birthday. I have reservations for breakfast @ Chef Mickey's at 7:50am, I was also able to get reservations for Cinderella Royal table at 4:15pm. She also has salon appointment for BBB around 11am. Is this overkill for 1 day? What should I cancel? We've been there before several times but wanted to make it special for her birthday. And how will I go around in asking for a cake? Do I have to call in advance and let them know?

I would cancel Chef Mickey's.
It's in the Contemporary and unless you really rush, you're going to be in the back of the line to get in to MK and won't really be able to enjoy low rope drop waits, at least not at the headliners. By the time you get to say SDMT the wait will already be long. This is assuming a 9 am open.
I would just do a quick breakfast on the go or at your hotel and get to MK for rope drop for short lines. The other two plans sound good.
Not sure about a cake

If it was me - I would cancel Chef Mickey. I HATED it and I think the BBB and Cinderella's royal table is sooooo much more "special" for a 5 year old girl

as for the cake - they have standard ones at CRT. I believe its on the website when you look at reservations for the restaurant.

Cake info
I emailed a few weeks before to have a cake at our dinner at Be Our Guest for my DD's bday. Email address for cakes at the MK is [email protected]. We did a mini cake to match the colors of her dress she was wearing that day. It was super cute, came with a card signed by the characters, and they sang to her. I think the cake was $29.99
I would cancel Chef Mickey's for sure. Keep BBB and CRT.

We all thought BBB was the best experience by far. But that may have been our amazing “fairy godmother”.
CRT was ok. DD has a better princess interaction with princesses outside of the restaurant. The price is ridiculous. 4:30 is a good break time.

I would say cancel Chef Mickey also. Breakfast is easy enough to grab and go. You are going to want to make the most of the day there given the BBB resi and CRT will take up some time.
