WWYD Halloween Party/Costume
If you were going to a Halloween Party with a new guy you're dating and do not know anyone there what would you wear/dress up as? Or not dress up at all? He is not big into dressing up and has some sort of mask.
Edited to say that these are all of his friends/community that you've never met before, so you'd be a little nervous as it is!

I'd probably pass on dressing up, only because I don't know the crowd and have visions of that scene with Elle Woods dressed up as the bunny.

I always lean towards something simple...like a black cat. Pair of black ears and you can wear black leggings with a black shirt or even a simple black dress. Do your make up normally (or emphasis your eyes) and draw on some whiskers. Simple...yet dressed up

That is a tough one, you don't want to look like you are a party pooper, but you don't want to look like a fool either.
Maybe just do something low key, like a baseball jersey and cap and go as a baseball player, or dress as a black cat and wear all black and get a tail and ears.

I'd go this route that way you don't look like a party pooper but if no one is dressed up you can lose the accessories and you're good to go.

I'd dress up, but in something simple, tasteful. Its Halloween. Can you hang out with some of these friends before the party?

Re: WWYD Halloween Party/Costume
i went to one with dh after we had been dating for only 3 months-we dressed together as hippies, but my costume was really just big bell bottoms, a flowy shirt, a vest, and some jewelery-so it wasn't too over the top

I'd wear a simple costume, I'd feel more out of place if I wasn't.

Re: WWYD Halloween Party/Costume
Thanks ladies, I will keep it simple but get into the spirit. We've only been on a 5 dates, and it's in 2 weeks so I doubt I will meet any of the friends before (I was very pleased and excited that he asked me to meet his friends at this party already!).
I was asking him about costume ideas for myself, and he just be comfortable, so the cat idea is good. Actually I have black leggings, a long black shirt and black boots, plus my DDs cat ears headband, so all I need to buy is a tail!
I will run it by him again, and see if most people get really dressed up.
Oh, and I'll be going straight to this party from my step-moms bday dinner so I don't have a lot of time to get dressed. And, my kids don't know I'm dating or where I'm going so I have to hide it from them
