WWYD? Magic Kindom, Sea World or Universal with a 1 yr old...

We are cruising next week (florida then bahamas) and I was waiting to book an excursion with my cousin (who has a 16 month old) but she wants to wait till they get on the ship, we are worried about things getting booked up. My parents want to come where ever we go so they want me to make a decision asap.

Im not sure which we should do.

DS will be 13 months.

Magic Kindom : DS does love Mickey Mouse and is okay with characters. Is it worth it to spend maybe 6 hours there?

Sea World: DS LOVES animals. I think he may get a kick out of seeing the dolphins and possible touching some sting rays or what have you. not sure if there is anything else there for him.

Universal: My siblings booked this for Harry Potter.

HELP! TIA!

for your DS, I would choose Magic Kingdom - hands down!

Sea World has a lot of bigger roller coasters and Universal is definitely for an older crowd.

He would get the most out of MK and have more to do!

I would say Magic Kingdom as well. We just back and my dd is 14 months and she really liked it. I went because of my older ones but she really suprised me how much she liked the characters, rides, and the shows...

Hands down Magic Kingdom. Sea World and Universal are nice/fun but if I only had one day - for that age MK there is a lot that they can do - that isn't just characters - but you can also see the characters. DD#2 went on her 1st trip when she turned 1 on the trip. She LOVED it. She was humming, singing and clapping on all the rides. Her face was just one big smile.

are u going to go there for the day from port canaveral?

if yes then i would skip those parks altogether and do something else. we did it and it was a complete waste of money to magic kingdom. its about an hr bus ride going to the park
each ticket for the day itself is 90 bucks per person (prices just went up not even a week ago) and u just get a few hrs in the park.

other people on the cruise ship that we spoke to went to universal and said it was too expensive for 4 hrs (the park had a private event that the ship doesnt know about) and kicked everyone out of the park.

not sure about seaworld

Out of the 3 I would definitely choose MK. It has so much to do. My DD went there 5 times and she is only 4. I have experience going with a yourger child, so if you decide to go there I can help if you have any questions.

However I also agree with PP, Port Canaveral is a ways away from Disney. If your 6 hours includes travel time, you might not have that much time in the park at all.

We were just in Florida last week and we actually spent 1 day in EACH of those parks (including one day in Universal and 1 day in Universal Islands of Adventure where the harry potter thing is).

For 6 hours at the park, I would choose either Magic Kingdom (where you won't be able to do the entire park in 6 hours) or Seaworld (where you could do the entire park in 6 hours).

DS (15 months) had a great time in both. At Seaworld, he really loved watching the shows - the dolphins etc. It was a nice day, you can watch a few of the shows, get on a few rides etc.

At Magic Kingdom, we spent over 13 hours there and still didn't do everything. The only characters we met were Pluto, Mickey and Minnie. We did see more characters on the parade, but not meeting them. Especially come the end of the school year, it will be CRAZY crowded, making lines even longer etc.

Thank everyone for the advice. We decided to do MK. Its a lot of $ for a short amount of time, but at least he will have some fun. I figure 6 hours migt be all he can take anyway. Who knows when we will be able to take him back to Disney so we ate to miss this opportunity.

I have not been to Sea World in 10 years - but I remember it being VERY hot and that was in May. There wasn't many places to get out of the heat.

I would definitely say Magic Kingdom, hands down. There are so many different areas to to see and so many things to do.
