China Chalet is pricey and just ok.
believe it or not, there are some china town restaurants that deliver if you get enough orders....I don't know which do though, since I am a bit closer and when I am really in the mood I suck it up and walk.
Pizza...FORGET it. good pizza is not to be had.
what we sometimes do is chip in and hire a cab to take someone over the bridge to Grimaldis for a pick up.

dude, just take the M J or Z from Broad to Canal. it's two stops.
I actually did walk to C-town for lunch (I am a block or so down from City Hall) but I didn't go there. I went to another place I like.
If you stick on this side of Canal, you may have better luck.
try Hop Kee, Joe's Shanghai, Wonton Garden, Mandarin Court...
there are also a few other smaller places...maybe on a wamer day take the trip.
there's also a few vietnamese places I like as well.
I eat too much. lololol

I think you and your coworkers are going to have to forget about the Chinese for a while.
Just wait for the warmer weather and street fairs. Then you can just eat delicious crepes from the crepe lady.

We work for a law office a block from the seaport and are "encouraged" to order in. Maybe when the weather is nicer we'll take a "road trip."

chinese-china chalet...its not THAT great..but it will do.
for pizza i love me some adriennes, nothing beats that!
