Re: x post annoyed
I told my boss what was going on, but I didn't tell most of my other coworkers.
You don't need to get into specifics. You can just say that you have some medical or family matters that you need to take care of. If you're concerned about the time off reflecting poorly on you, you can offer to make up the time by staying later or working through lunch.

I totally can relate to how you feel. I have only told a few coworkers that I trust that literally treat me like their own daughter. I also went to my boss and explained that I was going thru a medical situation and I may have to request frequent time off. My company gives us generous time off to take. The next time I spoke to my boss, she knew excatly what I was referring too and she said she went thru it for 12 years. She has never questioned one of my day off requests. I also have VERY nosy coworkers who I hear always ask why I'm out. Frankly, IT IS NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS!!! I dont care why they are off, why should they know why i'm off. I would say just for your piece of mind, maybe explain to tour boss you are going thru something medical and you can get a doctors note if they need it. You DO NOT have to go into details. Good luck!!!
