X-Post from Parenting Board - need NYC hotel recommendation
Three of my girlfriends and I are surprising 2 of my friends turning 40 this fall and taking them to NYC overnight.
I don't ever really stay over in the city, and I am looking for a hotel that is somewhat affordable but nice, and near good restaurants/bars. Any suggestions? Thank you!

DH and i have used hotwire many times for NYC, we have yet to be disappointed!! just make sure you pick one in the area you want to be in and with 4-5 stars!
most recently we stayed at the Benjamin and it was beautiful!
