X post from parenting-Penne vodka question:
Part of the menu for Claire's birthday party tomorrow is baked ziti and penne ala vodka.
I plan to prep the ziti tonight, and put it in the oven tomorrow.
What can I do about the penne vodka?
Can I put this all together tonight and then heat it up in the over tomorrow or will that dry it out?
Thanks!

I would save some extra sauce that you can mix in tomorrow.

I would make the sauce tonight and pasta but don't mix them until you are ready to serve. The pasta can be room temp and just pour the hot sauce over it.

Ditto.. this is what I've done and it's been delish..
IMO, pasta (mainly sauce) tastes better the next day..

I would do this too otherwise the sauce will soak into the pasta and be nonexistant.
