I attended a workshop with him months back and he was an amazing speaker. I learned a lot from him. I suggest regular ed teachers go as well since many of us have to deal with the mainsteam inclusion of children with disabilities. I have the inclusion class this year which is why I decided to attend.

I agree that regular ed teachers (parents, anyone involved with children!) should attend.
I also posted this on the parents board, and emailed many of my mommy friends

He was fabulous!!! he inspired back in graduate schools ( books and videos) and it was so great to hear him speak. if only all teachers could hear him.... he really understands the special child.

No, but truly, he was very inspirational. especially the stories about his son, having three boys, just hearing those stories made my eyes well up.  
He's great. Im so glad I went !
I was wondering where you guys were, but it was crazy here before leaving my house, I didnt get a chance to come back on to see if we'd meet up, sorry
Im glad whoever went was able to make it !
He really makes you stop and think, look at the big picture, think outside the box, step into their little shoes
and really just feel for these special children..
he said some really touching things..
im really impressed with the East Meadow SD !

I went to with a parent that I work with who has a son with Aspergers. She really enjoyed it and it was nice that he talked about it. It was the perfect workshop to take her to b/c he has a problem with social skills. Did anyone buy any of his books? I thought it was really fabulous! He is such a dynamic speaker.

I attended the 3:45 session. Not only was he enthusiastic, but he said a lot of practical things anyone working with children with special needs should be mindful of.
