I know a lot of people have disney trips planned in the near future or are in the middle of planning their trips...I just wanted to let people know about this so that maybe someone could get a discount that they didn't know existed...I think there is even 30% off hotel for value resort and goes to 45% for villas and 40% for deluxes if you stay 5 nights or more (a little less if you stay less than 5 nights) - you can add tickets and dining to the discount if you want or just get the hotel discount. I hope it helps another family.

FYI... we just got back from Disney and used the discount for our room. They would not let us add the Disney Dining Plan with the discount. You have to pay full price for the room to get the dining plan.

No, this is not true - I'm sorry that happened to you - it might be the code you used - or did you try to add it when you were down there? Mousesavers has that you CAN add the dining plan - and I know you can b.c I am USING this discount in May and we are using the dining plan and I am getting 40% off the room rate - I am definitely NOT paying rack rate. There are different codes that you have to give them depending on whether you want just the room OR add a package. In order to add the dining plan you have to add tickets TO your reservation (different codes require different amount of tickets - some only require a one day ticket purchase others 5 nights etc). You also must add the dining plan to your reservation I believe at least 2 weeks before you leave on vacation - unlike tickets that can be added (you can add days or features like hoppers once you arrive at your resort) you can not add the dining plan once you arrive. If you get a CM who tells you that you cannot add dining call back b.c you CAN.
