Xpost - Painting childrens room - HELP PLEASE!

I had a dilema recently about where to put the kids. We have a 4 bedroom house which is great but 2 are upstairs and 2 are downstairs. I can't see myself being upstairs with 2 kids downstairs, they are only 4 and almost 2. I can't do it, although I really want to.

So now Emma and Jeremy are going to share a room. They are young enough now for it to be a non issue until we find a new house.

I want to paint their room though. Right now its green, it was the nursery. I know Emma wants a ballerina room and the boy is OBSESSED with things with wheels. Cars, trucks etc.

My question - Would it be weird to paint 2 walls pink and 2 walls a boyish color or break the room down the middle and paint 1/2 pink and 1/2 a boyish color? The rug in there is beige so it can go with anything.

HELP!!!

I think it could be really cute.

I would go to home depot and get one of those folders that shows all the colors in the smae family so you can pick a boy color and a girl color that match.

you can do anything your imagination wants!!! Id have a blast with totally splitting the room and doing each his/her own side/ colors, theme etc!
my boys' playroom has about 6 different colors in it, between the walls, ceiling, we have some kinda chair rail thing, so i split the colors there, etc.
I LOOOVE lots of color, im crazy like that Chat Icon

so then go with 2 walls each, even if its a diagonal split, lol. if that makes sense.
I think it would look awesome Chat Icon
theyd get a sense of pride of ownership in their own "territory", and be happy to be in the same room too

OMG yes, there is so much I want to do... I have such dreams but no ability to do it. I just want to rest. I can't touch my toes easily. I should have done this months ago.
