xpost BTDT moms ... natural induction, what worked?
38 week prego here, but just curious if anything you did that you think may have caused you to go into labor earlier than you would have without doing anything?
Also, my ob is a huge advocate of sex to help bring on labor, but she insists to use a condom since sperm contains prostaglandins, but I thought "the big O" in women also produces prostoglandin, anyway I didn't really get it, anyone else get instructions like this?
TIA
poll just for fun
xpost to Pregnancy
edited because I didn't know "the big O" was a dirty word lol

I wasn't trying to get him out, but I did walk a lot until the very end with Ryan. I was commuting to Manhattan and doing all the stairs at Penn. People were clearing paths for me since I looked like I would deliver right in front of them

Re: xpost BTDT moms ... natural induction, what worked?
I also thought it was the sperm we wanted!!
Um, part of me doesn't even WANT to go Google this now b/c finding out that all the "messy" sex we've been having despite my being COMPLETELY not in the mood being all for nothing would KILL me, lol. (TMI but DH lights up every time and asks all dreamy eyed like a kid on Xmas, "INSIDE???" and I'm like, "Ugh, yeah").
Also, my OB told me about drops in barometric pressure causing higher rates of water breakage in full termers like ourselves- so I'm hoping for that snowstorm this week.
Come on mother nature!!!!!!!!!

The night my water broke (10 days before due date) I did a bunch of squats! Could just be coincidence though.

I tried walking, sex, EPO and even squats. Nothing worked. I ended up with Pitocin in my 38th week with both my kids. I have health issues so I had a deadline of 38 weeks.
eta: I also tries housework. I scrubbed my foyer and kitchen tiles with a toothbrush and it did nothing.
